Glimpse of Glam

Remember I told you that the press were at our booth and they snapped many pictures
of us and the booth?

Lil' Tummy appeared in the paper!
We found it out tru my friend, who was that girl next to me in the picture.
This was in Kosmo on last Saturday, 14.5.15.

The article didnt say much on Lil' Tummy. It was more on the event itself, which what it was all about right? But nonetheless, we were thrilled to see our faces, and our product in the news.
can u see Amal's head?
Oh my Amal. you are just 2 months old, and now u r in the paper!

I carried Amal in my 5 year old Baba Luna Sling. It was easier to breastfeed her that way. and less strain on my arms and i get to be mobile. my hands are mobile.
my friend said i so look like a superwoman.
u know, with the mumsprenuer and mommy thingie and all that?
yup, kind of i guess?

any superwoman cannot do it on her own.
a good support system is a must.
in my case, my husband and my mother.

I shared that picture with lots of my friends and family members.
kind of excited you know?

i have another surprise to blog about. only after Friday that I shall talk about it.
Nothing big, but a big deal for us.

Travel Halal: Disneyland Shanghai

Ni Hao! We just got back from a week holiday in Shanghai!

We went there with my mom, parents in law, sisters in law and her children. We were 12 altogether: 4 children, 1 baby and 7 adults. We booked out flights about a month before departure via AirAsia (what else?). December in Shanghai is winter time, so the weather was pretty cold with temperature ranging from 2-8C. That was really cold.

We bought a ground tour differently. Basically I was arranging the tentative, accommodation and guide. I found this tour guide from Mr Google: IslamiChina. They offer muslim friendly tour package across China, and also like ours, customized.

Our plan was to spend about 4 days in Shanghai and 3 days in Shaoxing. Initially Mom and I wanted to find cotton textile in Shaoxing, but that will be another story.

We reached Pudong airport around 1am. Our agent, Cici brought us to our Apartment in the city and our trip started off with Disneyland on the first day.

I booked the apartment myself through Boo…

Muslimah Hair Salon. i Like!

ever since i got married, i have never got my hair cut by other than my husband. he doesn't let me go to sebarangan salon unless the salon only has female workers and no men are allowed in. i totally respect his wishes. because this is the right thing to do. he is protecting my honor and loyalty as Allah's servant.
and because of that, i had been having no-so-great hair styles. sorry dear.. haha..  he said he doesn't mind the way i look and what not. but i do mind how i look in front of my own husband! because he is the only one that can see me totally, every little thing matters. what i look like, what i wear, etc . even he said he doesn't mind, i do. A LOT!
so, imagine my delight  when i discovered this muslimah salon in Shah Alam. Iris Salon & Spa.  located in Seksyen 7, near the tasik.
when i stepped into salon, i was already impressed.  the salon looked really nice.  dimmed light, zikir sounds, sophisticated interior, and most of all, friendly owner and styl…

Oil and vinegar

i finally found a Halal BalsamicVinegar!

i went to Setia City Mall to buy a broccoli to make fish and mashed potato with broccoli and tomato on the side, for buka puasa. whilst there, i strolled along the alley of vinegar and sauces.

Hubby and i have been looking for balsamic vinegar, to eat with bread and olive oil. the Italian style. or more correct, Rasulullah saw style.. yes, our beloved Prophet saw likes to eat bread with olive oil and vinegar. but the practice is more familiar among the Italians compared to the muslims in Malaysia. Rasulullah saw actually likes vinegar. there are many hadith that say this about him. i don't remember the exact phrase.. sorry..

we didn't know the type of vinegar used, but seeing the italians eat bread with balsamic, we guess it makes more sense than eating synthetic cooking vinegar! and also, balsamic is the only black vinegar that we know.

we managed to find balsamic before this but looking at the back of the bottle, the content said: g…
